DEE Achieves Back to Back Win for COFA 2021
Assistant Professor Elvin D. Dulce from the Department of Electrical Engineering (DEE) was hailed the as the Outstanding Junior Faculty by the UPLB College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology (CEAT) during the CEAT Awards Night held last February 24, 2021. The award was given in recognition of aProf. Dulce’s exemplary teaching record and performance, his contribution to the university through managing electrical engineering projects regarding the university’s power supply. This is DEE’s 2nd win in a row, with aProf. Aguirre taking home the CEAT Outstanding Junior Faculty award last year.
In addition to winning the COFA 2021, aProf. Dulce was also recognized by the university for his 10 years of loyal service. Meanwhile, the academic achievements of BSEE students in the past year were also acknowledged by CEAT. Despite the pandemic and the shift to remote learning, 31 BSEE students were granted a “College Scholar” status for attaining a GWA between 1.45 and 1.75. Meanwhile, a record-breaking 59 students managed to earn a status of “University Scholar” by earning a GWA better that 1.45. The student awardees were recognized during the CEAT Awards Night 2021, and again during the Himig at Sayaw 2021 held on March 6, 2021. | Aryan Paula Manalo
