UPLB graduates got another 100% passing rate in the recently concluded licensure examination for Registered Electrical Engineers. Twelve graduates took the Electrical Engineering Board Examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission last April 25-26, 2015 with Engr. Kim Jay R. Rosano landing on the 7th place. The national passing rate is 46.87%. Engr. Rosano is currently a faculty member of the Department of Electrical Engineering.
Last February 26, 2014, three personnel from the Department of Electrical Engineering received awards during the CEAT Foundation Day celebration. Department Chair Prof. Roderick Catriz and Instructor 4 Engr. Adrian Augusto Sumalde received the CEAT Outstanding Teacher Award for the Senior and Junior Faculty Division, respectively. On the other hand, Administrative Aide Rodolfo "Rudy" Ramos was awarded the Outstanding Blue-Collar Personnel Award
Prof. Catriz and Engr. Sumalde were also previously presented the UPLB Outstanding Teacher Award for the Physical Sciences Division, Senior and Junior Faculty Category, respectively.
