The Department of Electrical Engineering team triumphed over teams from four engineering departments last October 9, 2017 during the annual Inter-Department Engineering Debate Legal Minds held by the Society of Chemical Engineering Students (SChemES). The team, led by DEE faculty Engr. Jenny Rose Repollo, is composed of debaters Daryll Montoya, Kent Edrian Lozada, Angelo Limbo, Ezekiel delos Reyes, and Dan Drexter Garcia, and researcher Edward Joseph Maguindayao. Topics tackled by the team include DOST’s government scholar policy, regulation of transport network companies, the construction of the New Cebu International Container port, and the DENR ban on open-pit mining. In addition to the team snatching the Legal Minds Championship, Engr. Repollo also took home the Best Coach Award, while Limbo was hailed the Best Debater.
